The amount which any court shall order the payment of false or vexatious or countervailing costs for defences—

four thousand rupees or to the extent of his pecuniary jurisdiction, whichever is less

two thousand rupees or the amount to the extent of his pecuniary jurisdiction, whichever is less

three thousand rupees or to the extent of his pecuniary authority, whichever is less

five thousand rupees or the amount to the extent of his pecuniary jurisdiction, whichever is less.
