With reference to this, read the statement about the earthquake zone in India.nI. The Bureau of Indian Standards has classified the regions in India into Zone II, III, IV and V.nII. Of these, Zone V is the most seismically active and Zone II is the least active.nIII. Zone-V covers entire Northeast India, parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Kutch in Gujarat, parts of North Bihar and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
