India recently signed an agreement with the European patent office. How would this agreement be helpful to our country ? It will help India to protect its traditional knowledge of medicines. India’s Traditional Knowledge Library which is in digital form will now be available to the Patent Examiners at the European Patent Office. India will have the right to grant patents for all its traditional medicines and herbs.
