Any person who contravenes any provision of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 or any rule or order made thereunder, shall be punished on conviction -

imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine which may extend to twenty-five thousand rupees, or with both

Imprisonment for one year or fine

rigorous imprisonment for three years

Imprisonment up to six months and fine or both
